Heartland Hospice, serving patients in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem Counties, offers many meaningful opportunities for volunteers (16+) to make a difference!

A volunteer may assist in the office with clerical duties; visit a patient for companionship,  give the patient's caregiver support and relief; visit a patient with your certified Pet Therapy dog; sing for/with a patient who enjoys music as part of our singing group; sit vigil with a patient who is on his/her final journey; call/visit families of our patients who have passed within the year for bereavement support; and/or sew 'Heartland Hugs' pillows for the families of our patients who have passed (must be able to sew and have a sewing machine).

Patient companion volunteers are placed as close to home as possible. The opportunities are endless! Specialized training is provided throughout the year. Please call Lisa Spoto-Capaccio, Volunteer Coordinator, at 856-251-0707 or email for more information.
